Eta Beta is a daily programme on Radio 1 (Mon-Fri 11:35 to 12 am), prepared and hosted by Massimo Cerofolini, which addresses “innovative trends in society from web issues to economics, from free time to culture.”
Today’s programme will serve as an introduction to tomorrow’s celebration of the 12th edition of “Safer Internet Day” for youth on-line. The focus of the 2015 edition is “Creating a better web together.”
Programme guests include Alfonso Molina, Professor of Technology Strategy, University of Edinburgh and Scientific Director, Fondazione Mondo Digitale and two of the students who participated in Project Meet No Neet: Matteo Pierpaoli (Liceo Marconi – Pesaro) and Christian Puglisi (IIS G. Marconi – Catania).
Projects Talents App and Smart Class, developed together with their classmates, received awards at the second edition of the Discovering Talents Fair, held last Thursday at Microsoft Italy Headquarters in Peschiera Borromeo.
The Fondazione Mondo Digitale is also a partner of Project Sonet-Bull – Using ICT social networking tools, peer learning and crowdsourcing to train school communities to address student bullying. The objective is to combine modern pedagogic approaches (e-learning and peer learning) with widely used technological tools (Internet, social networks, mobiles) to provide timely and constant support to the entire community of actors involved in the school bullying phenomenon.
Moreover, the project partners are designing a training platform to provide teachers, educators and other interested parties with access to all the approved teaching material, as well as tools to publish their experiences and comment them with their peers.
The two-year project, which started in September 2014, is implemented as part of the Erasmus Plus Programme, Key Action 2 “Strategic Partnerships” School Sector, National Greek Agency.
Selection for the teachers, school directors, teacher trainers, parents and parent association representatives who will participate in the project and develop material to learn more about bullying is underway in the four participating.
